I was with a trainer when I was on it. He didn't get stop pay but he was making over $50,000 a year on it. I was only with him for a week on the account so I don't know to much about other than than we earned every penny we made on it! We ran from columbus,oh to detroit, mi so there wasn't alot of mileage involved on it. The average stop lasted 2-4 hours depending on how many pieces were involved and how many people the store had unloading it. The unloaders were making minimum wage so don't expect them to be in to much of a hurry when you get there. Most time was spent standing around in the trailer waiting on the unloaders to stop talking to there baby's mommas on their cell phones while we had a line of boxes on the rollers going in to the store.

I ended up not doing regional but I did one of there comfort zones which was the 910, which is the entire eastern have of the U.S. excluding the northeast. Mileage wasnt a problem ( I had a good DM that was willing to run me if I wanted to run). With freight being the way it is you can get about 2000 miles a week. If you want to run they will run you. Just make sure to send in a qualcom "macro 10" everyday so that way the planners and your dm know how many hours you have left to work and when you expect to be available for a load and you shouldn't have any problems getting miles.

Hawk- I forgot to you tell that you shouldn't plan on getting on a dedicated account or even regional for that matter right out of training. Most of the time Swift wants you to be them for 3-6 months before they will consider you for an account. I was treated very well by Swift. The reason I left them is because I got tired of living on the road want to try my hand at getting a local foodservice gig. If you have any q's about Swift I will be glad to answer them to the best of my ability with a fair and honest assement. Best of luck to you.

well i know i can't really go on by what a recruiter says but she told me that out of training i had three choices.. OTR which started at .26 a cents a mile, Northeast Comfort Zone Regional which was .36 cents a mile and Swift Dollar Tree Dedicated which she didnt give me cpm but she said i got unloading pay and stop play plus cpm... also i have my cousin dad that does the dollar tree account be the strange thing is that for the past two weeks he goes out on sunday night and is back home by tuesday afternoon for the rest of the week!! its very very strange... i don't want to keep worrying him so thats why i turned to the this forum lol..
