Think it might be worth, But I Called Gainey Trans earlier this morning, 05/28/08 and asked about this closure and it was the First they had heard of it ? take it from there! 8) :idea:

No shortgage of Lester Coggins trucks (LCT=Gainey) today on I-95 between Jax and Daytona.They only pay .28 to start and pull a bunch of flower loads out of Miami and Pierson. For whatever it's worth: It was 87 degrees today. Their windows were up and the trucks were rolling right along with traffic. The only ones doing 60 were the pumpkin trucks.

Oh We'll ,

It's not A major concern of mine anyway.

It filled in A few minutes of my Day. Inquiring about what may or may not happen to there Co. any manufacturer or shipper will ship by Rail if possible Now. Due to One Ton of freight can move Approximately 202 Mi by Rail on A gallon of Diesel. When by Truck that same One Ton of freight can go Only Appox 59 Miles on the same gallon of fuel! All you have to do is go by any rail yard and every Truck Trailer flat car is in use, be it Chi Town or Buff, NY. be it Dry freight or Refrigerated.they all will use what cost Less to ship by.Other than time sensitive freight.even the likes of Knight ,Swift , & Other majors ETC net earning are down. Unfortunately for the Trucking Industry when people the likes of Warren Buffet & Bill Gates who control 150 Billion Dollars promotes RailRoads People people are going to take there advice!

Well I am glad one railcar of flour fills 8 bulk trucks that need to be delivered to the local bakeries. Same goes for corn syrup being delivered to pepsi,sunkist,etc.etc.etc...

my comment's were deleted from 05/28/08 . as per my remarks in regards to, kurbski's remarks. In my post I made no mention of Bulk Commodities I-E Bulk flour or Corn syrup for local delivery.what so ever.

Anybody hear anything on them today? 06/02 was supposed to be some big announcement day for them. Ol' Beetle Boy is out on a training trip through Ohio and says there's not a Gainey truck to be seen.

you right about time sensitive. ask the rail when you can pick up that trailer. they yawn and say there is 1000 on the rail ahead of it and were takin a break so go back to sleep

I've seen a few of them today. Va. W. Va. Ky.
