Man this is bullsh!t about speed and fuel. It takes much more than speed to affect fuel. I drove a freightliner govern at 68 a mack governed at 66 and a kenworth governed at 62 and i used the same amount of fuel in all of the trucks it did not make that big of a difference. I drive an international now and I drive at least 80 mph and the truck uses the same amount of fuel as those other ones. My father owns a company and all of his trucks will do 90 easy and he says its another way for the mega carriers to try and eliminate the smaller competition. He also states his diesel bill is the same this year as it has been for the last 4 years. He told me this at the shop one of his customers asked him how fast would his trucks run and he told them they all will do at least 90 except for his PETE 550 CATERPILLAR IT WILL DO 110 and the customer told him they would not give J.B.Hunt that contract because their trucks are governed to low and that they needed trucks that would do at least 70-75.

Is celadon bumping that Mexican Panther division or whatever the mexican company that they own back to 62 as well? Just curious...Just wonder if they will back you guys down, and let them keep rolling as normal when they start coming in and running your freight, I think the Celladon Mexican company was one of the ones allowed to come over...wouldnt that just tick you off to have them still running at regular speed with long loads coming out of Mexico while you are sitting in Laredo scratching your head trying to decide which bill to pay half on.
