Hey married I did what you did with putting it in online. I also called the number they have on site and discused terminal options with them. He then contacted the terminal manager while I was on with him so that I could talk to terminal manger. So far all the folks I have talked to have been super nice and very helpful. Im just waiting for frieght to pick up and then my shot at geting in at the Atlanta term. Even tho im in NC im closer to Atl then Charlotte or High Point. 2 hr drive to Atlanta verse 3 to 4 to those two. Hope you get on I sure am trying.

:lol::lol:Well, when I went past the Navy's big boats there on the ICW in Norfolk....the water cops watched me pretty close...... but then they watched everyone very closely. Had to run at "idle" speed....just enough power to maintain steerage with no wake..... Didn't want to get "boarded" and get a speeding ticket...:lol::lol:

Trust me....it was cold as well diggers %$#...out on the Chesapeake....it snowed in Annapolis the day after we left...... And it was cold until we hit Florida!

Actually, I didn't....but it would have probably been a good idea to have it with me. Have to remember to take it in the future...

Everybody must be running too hard to post lately. I have had a pretty slow last 10 days. Making up for that west coast trip I guess.

I sure wish that was the case, but sadly no. I've averaged about 1200 miles per week so far this year running out of Atlanta, with 25% of those being empty. Too many weeks have consisted of one run out and back, then home for four or five days waiting on the next one.

I was a new driver when I hired on with Superior last May and believed then that this was one of the best companies, especially for a newbee. I still believe that, so I'm determined to stick with them as long as they'll let me. I doubt that I could do any better anywhere else.

Come on economic recovery!

I was running back and forth to Qc. this past week. We still keep busy with those runs. Seems I keep more busy with that than getting out in the system lately. 2 weeks I went to Ky. and dropped the drity tank at Cinci. and sat for the day. Then to Ill. and sat for 1.5 days. Back to Cinci sat for another day then took a load to NY. Didn't do alot of running for 8 days out. Off. to Va. Monday so we will see what happens from there.. But for now, the sun is shining, the Harley is getting an oil change then off to chase some Gray Goose. Giddy Up.

The last two weeks were good, but that was because we had 2 drivers on vacation each week. Ive been warned its going to be reeeeeally bad this week.

Seems it's all hit and miss. One week i'm counting 10-hour breaks to the minute to make a pick up/delivery on time. The next week I'm running hard to see how much layover pay I can get on a 3-day, 800-mile run!

All and all it's been pretty steady. Look at the bright side... A slow week at Superior is spent at home. A slow week at other companies is spent at a truckstop.

This is one of the main reasons I'd like to be on this team,I'll run as hard as anyone, but, if there's no freight, let me sit and wait at home instead of at a truckstop.I keep following this thread and I'm waiting to see when a good time will be to put in my application.

Don't apply to Nashville then...they closed the terminal Friday morning and let the last of us (13 plus 1 mechanic) go. No transfers to Kingsport, Memphis, Greer, etc., for the guys who were willing, either.

On the phone all Friday afternoon with most of the tank outfits that have a terminal within about 250 miles of me and got the same reply: "hiring freeze" "..check back in a couple of months" "...no, not hiring" etc., etc...

Unemployment office Monday morning I guess...
