Default Questions concerning cfi

Hey everyone!! I've been driving since 98. I went otr for 1 yr then local
for 5yrs. Then my wife and I decided to go otr running as team. Needless
to say that ended up in divorce...Anyway I still drove for another yr then left driving. In 06 I went back on the road for a few months. At that time
I got a local job with coke. After tearing my acl twice I am no longer there. I left in Jan. and been rehabing my knee since. the question is does anyone know if cfi or anyone else for that matter will take me on.
I have no criminal background and a clean mvr. thnks

I would recommend that you contact Christine in Recruiting at 1-800-641-4748. (CFI) You do need to know that when CFI does their physical, you do have to "squat and properly pick up a container that is weighted". So if your knee hasn't healed sufficiently.....it may be a problem.

Most OTR carriers will put you through a physical like that.

BOL!!

Good deal. You might want to try the "lift" with lighter weights and see how it goes.... Also, tell her I said "Hello"!! I do know her because I drove for CFI for 7 years

Does CFI hire students who have just graduated? Their website says no but I have heard mention they do. Thanks in advance.

Yes they do. I believe it has to be a 160 hour course. Check out the CFI forum. It has a lot of info and CFI drivers there.

That is a cheerleading site for CFI and a good portion of them are no longer or have never been drivers at CFI. If you want an unbiased opinion don't go there. If you want to hear, " thanks for coming, use the search forum and call Christine, blah blah blah, here is her number blah, blah blah." then by all means check out the site. Personally I think you would get all the information you are gonna get from the internet here.

I think by searching this forum, most companies can be checked out with opinions from the people that drove for them.

I agree piece. You are gonna get more people and broader views here than at at cfidrivers.com . Your site looks pretty neat. I don't agree with everything you say about CFI, but it is a nice looking site. It is a lot like FlatBed Freds from TMC. I learned a lot from that site when I was new.

The CFI Drivers site should be considered a tool....like any other site.... and the information taken or gathered from it or this or any other site should be taken with a "grain of salt"......

I've been gone from CFI for a year now....so my credibility factor may have been changed a bit by what may have happened after I left....and probably by the buy-out by Con-Way.

But in all fairness....they deserve as much of a look as any other company.
