i have been driving for 9 years now and i live in florida,well i am thinking about moving to keyser ,wv which is right on the border of maryland (cumberland)and right near winchester,va,what is a good company to work for in that area?thank you

You might look into "NEMF", New England Motor Freight. Also DM Bowman is big up in that area.

I always used Simbeck as a carrier when I needed loads out of Winchester.

That has been a few years ago and not sure if they are still around or not. They use to pull alot of loads out of Rubbermaid in Winchester. The loads would be a max of 20,000lbs.

The owner of the company was a dealer for Western Star trucks. All the drivers were always nice and drove nice trucks. If I remember right the owners name is Ronnie.

They were out of Winchester Va

for those of you that don't know where this is,it is 15 minutes from cumberland,md and 1 hr west of winchester,va

Not too bad of a selection as far as location.

What are your main priorities though? Hometime, or are you looking for dedicated?

I know we personally run tons thru there, and makes getting a driver home easier.

None the less, you should have a relatively easy time finding a carrier to meet your needs. All kinds of stuff out in that area with different companies in that area. Just be patient, while detailed in your own needs, and you'll find something perfect I'm sure.

I think people in Florida ask the most questions about possible carriers to work for. That pininsula has them isolated. Not as bad as Alaska though.
