well i already worked at conway freight, (where the accident happened) and i am on course to make about $55k-60K this year, being my first year. but i hate it here. so thats why i am trying to get out.

So i guess i will wait with them, until i finish school or find a job more related to my business degree.

So you're 22, at Conway right now, and on par to make $55+ plus?!? And you want to leave for a company that will pay half that?

Well in the eyes of the law it was preventable.... but in reality, it actually was equipment failure, but since i hit some-one else because of it, the officer gave me a ticket, that i couldn't fight, (tried hard though)

If the accident was the result of mechanical failure and it was verified by a third-party mechanic, it would be listed as non-preventable and you would have received no ticket. That is a rock-solid case, bar none.

The fact that they are listing it as preventable and a judge saw it the same way, leads me to believe that mechanical failure was not proven as the cause of the accident. It can be no other way. You might have tried to use that as a defense, but the judge and the company said otherwise. Hence, you have a $17K preventable accident on your record at 22. You are pretty much non-hireable by any of the major carriers at that age and with that accident.

Back to your current situation. If you don't like Conway, what makes you think you'll like any other carrier? Conway is pretty solid and to make that kind of money your first year out there is pretty outstanding, especially with a $17K preventable on your record. You are in a perfect situation...I wouldn't screw it up unless you intend to get completely out of trucking.

I know, Conway sound the best, but work me, i just want more out of life, than driving truck...... Which is why i am back in school....

but conway have me a accident report saying that it was non preventable, even my manager came to court with me to defend me... but the judge was an A$$....

What i really need is a different work schedule from a local company. one that work better around my schooling, and conway doesnt.

But, in a couple of years, i'll be done with school and starting my new career, which will take me higher because i have driving experience.

Life is too long to be doing something you hate.
