Just plug "England" into the search function....on this site, hit enter, then go to the kitchen and get a big 2 lb bag of chips, a six pack of Coke, a couple of sandwich's, a box of frosted flakes, a gallon of milk....and a big plastic garbage can lined with a trash bag of course.

By that time the search function will have your answers. You will be able to eat of the above items before finishing reading all the reasons why not to get involved with CRE. Be sure to also have handy some paper towels to wipe your chin after you barf.... Yes, its that bad, and yet despite all the advice not to go there....people like "spencarian" and others do....and return here with their "pocket novels of woe".

Have fun..... 8)

Yeah, I just noticed that.

What is a troll? Where I come from a troll is someone who lives in the same state as our beloved moderator yoopr but lives BELOW the big bridge.

IMHO i think every New Driver fresh out of School should go to work for C.R.England to see how it really is to get screwed without being Kissed or Vaseline even used.As a matter fact it should be manditory to work there as your first driving job,and DO NOT come on these boards complaining how bad they lied and shafted ya.

Short and sweet answer is they might not be such a good idea. A majority of people who have gone there, and reported back here have not had great things to say. There maybe a few who have success with them. I personally know people who have worked there, and everyone of them said it was the worst decision of their live. If you have no other choice, I'd still say stay away.

You don't have to "pay your dues" at some bottom feeding OTR outfit like CRE to get into driving.

If you want to do OTR go with a small to medium carrier like Gordon.

Here on the left coast many of the local labor markets are tilted heavily in favor of drivers. Some of the better LTLs are willing to give you free CDL training if you can prove that your are worth a darn and work the dock for 3-5 months.

I bypassed Baltic Ave and landed on Marvin gardens.

Now if you life in BFE with a small week labor market it may be another story. But in any metro you can find companies that are willing to hire for local work with little or no experience. You may have to do some research and cold calling to sell yourself though.

I know a guy who works at CR Englands cold storage warehouse in NJ, he said a England driver backed into and demolished the guard house there, luckily the guard escaped uninjured, another driver backed too far and pushed a telephone pole onto the rail road tracks, fortunately the engineer was able to stop the train in time, and England drivers are routinely involved in minor accidents with employees cars, and all this happened in the parking lot.
