Tractors in the refer division are cycled out every three years, the other divisions are every 4 years.

Then what I have seen must have been fleece operators. I have never seen a Century running for Prime that was as new as, say, a 2005 model. Say what you want about CRE, but, at least their equipment is new, or very nearly so. Of course, they pay squat, but that's another subject.

The leases at Prime are a very bad deal. The payments are too high. Buying a truck outright would be close to a $700 a month note. Prime and ALL other companies offering leases are raping the drivers close to $700 per week.

Your 100% right about that lease....but every 3 years I got a new truck and for some strange reason my personal taxes was pretty small compared to the fellas that were buying their trucks and at the end of that lease period I had more in savings then most. Its not for everybody and not all drivers do good with it but for someone that didnt have squat when I started and bad credit to boot...... My finances are much better than anything else I have done. I do drive company now and I am satisfied but its mainly from less stress footing the bill as a lease operator.
