I used to pull quite a few loads out of Idaho Falls for Frenches(French's) but that was Reefer. Is that place still there?
Quite a bit south of Coer de lene but it's Idaho :P

I have no idea, I have never been down south yet. My husband did not pick up a load in Idaho Falls when he was out with his trainer. I know that May Trucking division for refer is out of Payton Idaho. When hubby gets home maybe he can answer your question regarding French's.

That's Payette, Idaho.

Just so there's no confusion. 8)

The way May operates, it would be odd to pick up any freight except on either coast (basically), or at a yard or in a major interior city. Denver, SLC, KC-K, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, are good examples. Like most companies of course, but I picked up most of my loads from the same cities over and over while working for May.

yea thats how it is with the dry division, alot of the same places. If your husband wants a long nose pete 379 he'll get it, but as for the new 387's no chance. i had the choice between the 379 pete an the 770 volvo and i chose the volvo until a freightliner is availible. There expanding the Brooks terminal an acre or 2 more since the company has grown 15 percent this year and its getting real packed there on the weekends. my truck number is 3152 if your husband ever runs into me.

Let me ask you this why do you desire to drive a freightliner over a pete 379? My husband says that the petes are suppose to be pretty dependable that is his main reason for wanting one.

Well it has been my experience through my father and my actually driving Freightshakers that both trucks are exposed to breakdowns. The edge went to PACCAR products because of the professionalism of the Point of Service. Sort of a comparison of going to a GM dealer and going to a Lexus dealer.

However, recently I am hearing more and more horror stories of PACCAR dealers over promising and under delivering on service.

My synopsis is that the whole industry is suffering from the high volume low margin disease.

dont get me wrong, I Love the ride and the look of the pete, but its just too small inside and a pain to back up with those mufflers blocking ur mirror. i just preffer more space thats all, a Pete is too small and the volvo has too much. Brooks is the only dry terminal, the rest are all refer terminals.

Boy Crackaces you got me on the Paccar dealers. Could you explain this more? Which company is what?

Do you still like teaming? I have not seen many WS trucks out this way lately. I hope that you guys are not slowing down.
