My take home every two weeks has been around $1800 the last three paydays. That's before my 1% raise.

Just wanted to say that I'm still hauling cars. And I'm getting to the point where it's actually somewhat easy. Still can be a pain, but things go much quicker when you've got about six months under your belt. Money is very good. And I get to drive some awesome cars. (Even if it's only a short distance). All I have to worry about is getting too comfortable, because that's when you damage cars so I hear. Well merry Christmas to you all!

Great to hear from you, glad it's working out for you...It has been a while since we heard from you last. Thought I'd seen that truck on I-10 a couple weeks ago. (And a Happy New Year !)

Great post, learned alot.... I retired from the Military last year and spent 6 months after-wards driving walking floor bulk commodity trailers, double curtain trailers and milk tankers... I returned to my original while I was in the military, an Air Traffic Controller, but now with the Department of Defense. I'm seriously considering returning back behind the wheel... I really miss being on the road and after 20 yrs plus controlling airplanes I'm getting tired of it... I talked to a driver a while back at my Nissan Dealer who was working for United Road, he was a newbie also and really liked the job and pay. After reading this post I'm looking heavily into this line of trucking. Any one got info/leads on jobs here in Central California... I live between L.A. and San Fran. and if need be I can/will relocate.

Thanks folks

Yep, I like that JM trailer. Fairly light, and loads great. The #5 is a bit shorter than the other JM trailer we have. I don't know why. Just got all new lights and wiring on the trailer during xmas. Looks good now.
