Harold is in charge as of Monday. The boy was sent to his naughty chair, once again, and isn't expected to return anytime soon.

I think TMC could do itself alot of good with a quick downsizing move, firing the bottom 5-10% of its drivers/staff.

The only problem with that is the poor market for used trucks. They can't really afford to keep millions of dollars worth of equipment sitting idle for very long while drivers are quitting at a very high rate and recruitment seems to be down as well.

So Tim was demoted and Harold took back the reigns? That might account for the driver chatter.

Quote: We are looking at maybe 25-40% of ALL the trucking companies folding simply do to 3 factors 1 HIGH fuel costs. 2 LOW Freight rates and 3rd High driver turnover rates
Is this yet another one of the statistics you pull out of thin air? If you honestly believe that 25%-40% of all trucking companies will go under, you are a fool. Rates will adjust themselves long before that ever happens.

Rev remember ONE THING it was ME that predicted one of the major banks would Fail. I call a company formally known as Bear Streans with a book Value being bought for 236 Million for 2 dollars a share when 2 days earlier it was trading for 51 a share shows I was right. Rev word to the wise my uncle who BTW has a net worth of well over 1 Million in LAND HOLDINGS ALONE is SCARD S H I T L E S S RIGHT NOW. He pulled all his cash out of the markets and buryed it in the backyard like his parents did in the 30's during the last bank collaspes. Look for Lehman Bros or Citicorp to be next they owe more than they actually are worth.

Speculation and rumors aside, it is NOT a good time to be in any doubt if you are a fleet owner. The companies in doubt are going to fail. Hell look at mine, I'm surprised we made it this long.

I don't know much about TMC's operation, like to think they are a strong company, and by all accounts they appear to know what they are doing. Nice equipment doesn't mean anything though: professional acquaintance of mine whose name starts with a Z and has been in business since 1946 owns about 400 bright red trucks that you probably see across I70 and I80 all the time. 155 of them are 2008 Internationals, real nice equipment. Shortly after buying them, biggest customer cuts freight and warehouse rates 10-15%, think that wasn't a wakeup call. I hope they make it. Bottom line is that there is no certainty. Small, medium, large or mega carrier, makes no difference.

Oh yeah I applied with TMC today. Mailed them my resume and a cover letter explaining that I have been tying up loose ends at my company for the last 2 months, didn't want there to be an unexplained gap in my work history. Hoping this will not be a problem.

Typical ironeagle response - you ask him one thing, and he responds with something completely irrelevant to the discussion.

I'll ask again - is "We are looking at maybe 25-40% of ALL the trucking companies folding simply do to 3 factors" yet another one of your numbers that you pulled out of thin air, with no basis whatsoever?

It has been awhile since IE2006 has blathered nonsense and tall tales from his fantasy world.....

I find it funny that his uncle supposedly has over $1,000,000 in land holdings, yet his parents supposedly can't afford their medicine.

I pulled my million out too and buried it in the back yard. Then I got nervous that some one would find it, so I dug it up and burned it all. No one can have it now.

glad this one stayed on topic.
