By firing dangerous or poor drivers, a company actully shows QUALITY but may get a bad rap in the ratings by the loser they let go.
I can say there is no perfect rating system....we can pick at the flaws of this one all year long. But it is what we have. Also, maybe a list of voters and what they voted for might be needed. This way, the voter themself can state why they put a positive/negitive vote for the company.....or better yet, a comment section to state what happened to them. With that, we can keep their ID hidden. And does this table allow a driver to CHANGE their vote? After all, a driver might think the best of the company before they get f*** over by the company they work for. The driver might have a different opinon after that. just a thought.

I like the rating system. I was just emailing this site manager a few days ago to tell him that. There's always going to be disgruntled drivers but I think most people want to be honest when they do a survey to guide other drivers. I mean I had a falling out with a dispatcher and upper management at KLLM but I wouldn't give them a bad rating. They gave me good miles. They weren't great..they kept failing to reimburse me for things but overall they weren't too bad. My falling out was personal.
The only problem I have with this rating system is.. I couldn't rate the companies I knew of. It seems I can't log in to rate. Then I also think they should show the number of drivers who rated. This way if a guy rates 1 across the board or 5, we will know it is just one person saying that.

It would seem one could voice one's opinion on what he has RECENT experience with .. that being one he's unhappy with, or he wouldn't be looking to leave said company. So, how can "positive" inputs be generated? Maybe I don't understand the way it works, but I'm not going to do an online app (another) to find out. Let's face it, the people who are here on CAD are unhappy where they are and think the grass is greener on the other side, or have no experience with any carrier other than all the here-say and gossip they see here and other such places. If there is someone here who logs on and loves where he/she presently drives, why would he/she want to subject themself to a flood of calls from recruiters by filling out another online app so he can praise his present company? If I'm out of line, I apologize. I think CAD is a good resource for new and current drivers IF they know how to filter all the biased info and flame mail found here, much of which is written by people whose expectations are totally unrealistic and/or are just plain ignorant and can't be expected to stick with a job anywhere. Well if you are going to use a site as your only source of info about a company without any real world info gained on your own by talking to drivers at truck stops, shippers ,receivers you get the point...well that's on you. But from what I've seen from talking to ...thousands of drivers in the past 2.5 years ...the comments on this board almost 100% accurately reflect the real world opinion of real drivers working for the companies discussed on this board ...Now that sucks for driver recruiters working for the companies that get almost 100% negative discussion on this board , but that is that companies fault...For example if you have tons of fancy trucks ,and a bifg fleet sales division ,but only pay .26 CPM well what reviews do you expect to receive when pay questions are asked ? |
