Why is it BS? I am telling the truth. If you go back and read my post you will see that I said it was a random test from the company he already works for. It is a very small company with a handfull of drivers. He has been working for them for almost 3 years. (He even quit a couple of times because he got a DUI and he went on a drinking/drug spree where noone knew where he was for a couple of days. and they still hired him back  .)

He had the dirty test (may have refused it, I can't remember because it was a few years ago but he was fired.) with ECM trucking in PA and before that worked for Trans Am.

I will wait to see what happens with this drug test.

Yoopr, if I see him high when he drives you can be sure I will find a way to report him. I can't really report him if I don't know when he is doing it. Officer, I think my BIL may have smoked a joint in the last month...I don't think that would be damning evidence but we are new to the industry so maybe my word would be enough, I don't know.

reason I said that is when you're called in for a Random drug test they don't give you DAYS or Weeks of an Advanced Warning.

I don't know. He called on Tuesday and said he had to take the test by Friday. I thought you just had 24 hours or something like that but that is what he told my husband. Maybe the company alerted him because they figured he would fail, I don't know.

I dunno Yooper!!

I have a friend who is a car hauler; he drives for a decent company, and he's good at what he does, but they are an outlaw operation. He also gets advanced notice of upcomming "random" tests!!

You just proved my point whether you know it or not
Anyway if the guy takes the test and if he's using drugs he'll fail because a few days of not using drugs won't matter a bit.
Wish you'd tell the rest of us who this guy is driving for so we can get the hell out of his way.

The company is called CAB. It is a tanker. He runs to Jersey, Detroit and in PA.

If your point is that the "random" test isn't really random, then I would agree with you.

To the best of my knowledge, he quit tokin' a long time ago; it's just that his boss tells him that when he gets back to the yard, he'll have to donate a sample. (he's out for a couple of months at a time; I only see him once or twice a year!!)

I honestly don't know if or how much trouble your husband might be able to get into for donating a sample. I also do not know that your BIL would go to jail for faking a sample. It also sounds like the company might keep him on even if he comes up dirty. Scarry thought...

Might serve him right if you could come up with a "dirty" sample........
