Yeah, there is a hook on the south side, and a Petro on the north side. Want some advice, Steve? If you need fuel, that's ok. Just dont sleep over night. :P

Well, I went through Fredericksville or what ever the name of it is. Now I know why Tootie likes it. It's a chicks haven for shopping. Not a bad ride once I got out of those towns filled with lights and shops.

I must have seen 1,000 dead dear on the side of the road. Man, it must be slaughter house 5 at night on Rt 10. I'll find out in the morning.

I'm in Ozone or some place like that in a truckstop. Not a bad place I think although the RV park next door has what they call a Party Barn and this truckstop has a bar so I'm sure this is one popular place.

I put 4 more cans of A/C coolant in and the gauge is where it should be now. My thermometer says 45 at the vent so I'm all set.

Nice ride so far but I think I'll stay on Rt 10 for the rest of the way.

Fredricksburg?

Ozona,Tx? I stayed at a truck stop there. It had a small parking lot in the back. Bad thing about it, it had a drive through for the McDonalds right where the trucks park. I stopped there once just so I could eat something, and catch a nap.

Yes, Ozona TX. Not McDonalds though. This is a non chain truckstop with a XL parking lot. I think it's owned by some stock car driver. Not a bad place at all and high speed internet is free for all with blazing speed.

Oh ok. It's been a good while since I have been there. You drove through there a couple months ago, didnt ya?

I just don't freaking know anymore. I was around here a few months ago but I was on I think Rt 66 which was way cool. This is the first time on Rt10 and those other back roads.

I was coming back from California once on I-10, and I was on the Texas Mountain Trail or whatever it is....DAMN windy...kept feeling like I was climbing a hill b/c I was losing speed...turned out it was just that much of a head wind...flat ground and I was cruising at a cool 45, lol. Don't know what the weathers' like out there, but it's a cool 85 here in Waco today 8)

A cool 85!!!! Man, I would be dying!!

The wind is blowing pretty good here. Real nice with the windows down. I must have had a tail wind today cause I was flying up the hills and my computer said I was getting like 8mpg which is not normal for being heavy.

Cows everywhere here. I feel like blowing my horn and causing a stampede. I'm sure it's been done a few times!!

I think you are at Circle Bar, or something like that. Race car driver mentioned is Rick Crawford.

Just wait until you get to El Paso. It seems the winds blow there all the time. In fact, I think the wind blows all the time out West. And when you are away from the interstate you may want to keep in mind that there are areas out West that have open range. For those who are not familiar with the term, it means that cattle are allowed to roam free without being fenced. They can go anywhere they want, including roadways. Most will not be near major roads, but you never know. You are more likely to see that when you get away from the main roads.
