Default whats your thoughts on the ELD's?

what do you guys think? I'm really thinking of getting in to a pre 2000 truck just to stay on my paper logs (eclipse)

My 1999 KW just went up in value.............LOL

Theres 2 years for lawsuits, so who knows when they will really have to be in

lol thats not even funny because.. its true.. found 2 379's (99's) both overhauled 1 for 47k the other 49k.

i'm reading dec 2017. don't want to wait until the last min.

I spoke with OOIDA a couple of weeks ago and they told me that it is still NOT settled. I am sooo glad that my truck is older, as well.

They elaborate on it? I hope to be in a older truck (who said that ever?) by June.

I don't remember all the particulars of why they think that there is still some opportunity to stop this from being implemented. Prior to OOIDA's lawsuit, I believe those with 5 or fewer trucks were exempt from elogs. The latest ruling includes everyone. I was encouraged to see that older trucks may be exempt.

I heard the same thing about the 5 trucks but that was over the summer. Every thing I read now pre 2000 model year is exempt.

and I read lastnight that OOIDA is taking the gov't to court. something about the 4th amendment. lets keep the fingers crossed.

OOIDA seems to be the only organization that is fighting the ELD's.

OOIDA filed a suit on Monday, FMCSA said today NO exeption for small fleets of any size

Gonna get interesting, its all about control....socialist style
