I spoke with OOIDA a couple of weeks ago and they told me that it is still NOT settled. I am sooo glad that my truck is older, as well.

They elaborate on it? I hope to be in a older truck (who said that ever?) by June.

I don't remember all the particulars of why they think that there is still some opportunity to stop this from being implemented. Prior to OOIDA's lawsuit, I believe those with 5 or fewer trucks were exempt from elogs. The latest ruling includes everyone. I was encouraged to see that older trucks may be exempt.

I heard the same thing about the 5 trucks but that was over the summer. Every thing I read now pre 2000 model year is exempt.

and I read lastnight that OOIDA is taking the gov't to court. something about the 4th amendment. lets keep the fingers crossed.

OOIDA seems to be the only organization that is fighting the ELD's.

Maniac 12-16-2015 10:32 PM

OOIDA filed a suit on Monday, FMCSA said today NO exeption for small fleets of any size

Gonna get interesting, its all about control....socialist style
