Just wondering, it happend to me and found out when AL DOT showed up at my house to do complete audit on records and wondering why I had an accident with haz-mat and I don't even have the endorsement on my cdl.

Super Nice State Trooper who made a few phone calls while sitting at my house and got it took off my record, then he printed out the accident report and called the company who was using my dot number. He was not so nice to them and told them he would be there (80 Miles from my home) in Decatur AL to do a complete audit tommorow, and if the number was on anything tommorow they would be charged with fraud.

Super Nice Trooper, and Super good at reviewing records. Started at 9 am and finished at 1 pm, whew was I glad when it was over. I passed with a perfect score!!!!

That felt awesome, after he left I was jumping up and down and shouting Praise The Lord!

He told me to be sure and check my company profile out for the safety rating as when he got here it was 96 and 100 is as bad as it gets, so mine was really bad. Kinda glad all of this happened as I was not sure I was doing things right, but felt much better after he left.

 

It is good that the trooper was so understanding and looked further into the matter. It sounds like it worked out pretty well for you. This is the first time that I have heard of anyone in the South having their numbers stolen. It seems to be something that happens more on the west coast from what I have read.

Dontcha know that "other company" is running around like a herd of ants, trying to get things straightened out?!?! :lol:

 

Papa Rick, if I found someone publishing or using my MC information I would prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. If possible I would see that they were thrown in jail for a very long time. If they had their own MC authority I would push the feds to permanently revoke it and prevent them from ever obtaining authority again. I would also push for damages in civil court for blemishing my reputation. It would not be difficult to track them down with today's technology. In your case, the DOT did it for you.

 

Oh boy I would not want to be those guys. I wonder how they made out today?

Anyway, PSC Industrial Outsourcing Inc, they are huge, with offices in all but 6 states, even Alaska and HI. Went to the office yesterday to see if I could see anything with my dot number on it, none found but did find someone in office and I went in and asked if the person worked there and the guy told me yep and handed me his business card. Turns out he is a Chemical Supervisor at this company. Did some research and I have in hand now the accident report (paid 17 bucks and got it downloaded over the net), drove by his place and found where he lived at.

Had company truck with correct dot number on door of truck, the PSC Industrial Outsourcing. Sent them an nasty email and waiting for answers for what they did and what they are going to do about this.

What advice would you give in this and has anyone ever ran into this.
