Default Recieved this email wed night, no call, no explanation

Pursuant to the lease agreement, effective fifteen days from this date, I am giving written notice for termination of your lease with Odom Trucking Company, Inc. Please forward all property belonging to the company to me. I will cut you final settlement check upon receipt.

You may have prospective companies fax the normal reference request to me, as I don't mind giving you a good reference.

Thank You,

Steve Odom

ouch, that sucks, he's probably clearing things out for exactly that. Being shut down. Still, he could always man up and answer your calls, even if it's a simple sory, nothing I can do for you.

Unfortunately, there will likely be many more carriers who will be forced to close their doors next year. It sounds to me as though he is trying to do the right thing. It is not the best time to look around for a new carrier, but many are still leasing on owner operators. Of course, you could always get your own authority.

There are some good buys around. You don't have to buy a new trailer.

after repeated emails, I finally got this answer. (Larry is the guy I used to work for and I havent spoken to him since I quit)

Well, its getting harder to work with your schedule, then there's the family issue, the fact I'm considered the dumb ass boss, you not agreeing with the rates and the icying on the cake is when you spoke to larry and told him my rates for the cuthbert loads. That in itself was more than enough for me. So its better this way, you move on and I will as well. Steve odom

If you look at this a-hole's website, he claims to be a Christian and family oriented, yea right, the "family issue" I have is that I wanted to be home every other weekend, which was the agreement when I started
