If I wouldn't of had to put a new charge air cooler, new hoses and air valve in at a cost of $2651.26 I would of only took home $2973.41

Only making around $3,000 a week I don't how I am going to make my payments.........Oh yeah I don't have any payments. I keep thinking I am a real o/o with huge debt.

My little 3 truck outfit is having our worst time in 20 years. We've never seen it this bad. The reefers are staying afloat, but certainly not making any money worth bragging about. My flat is gonna get parked if I have another 7500 mile month. I'm working on 2 in a row now with it. There is freight out there, not much but some. Thing is, I'm not gonna haul it for $1.20 a mile.

Not sure how I make it sound better than it is. I posted my check stub in black and white for all the experts here to give some feedback if it is above average, average, below average or what. The only feedback I get is being called stupid and a liar from all the smart ass super truckers. Yeah I can be a smart ass too when defending myself.

Gross is Gross.........Commision, fuel, insurance, license, maint., etc is a expense to the truck.

But:
I'll make sure when I do my taxes this quarter I deduct the commission from the gross and only report the adjusted gross and tell my accountant Mike says so and see what he says.

 

I guess a newbie isn't welcome here. The Mods should be proud of themselves for letting this site go down hill. I seen on another post where someone said this board died............It doesn't take a Einstein to figure out why.

I stopped by the trucking school I went to a few weeks ago. The first thing I seen when I walked into the classroom was the web addy for here written across the top of the blackboard. I asked the instructor why that was there. He said a recruiter put it there and told the class if they had any questions to come here and ask. I told the instructor I came here and got some good info when I was putting a plan together. The way this site has been the last few weeks I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My next time through there I will make sure I stop and have them remove the addy from the blackboard.

I'm sure everyone will laugh and make fun of this post and I really don't care. My hope is someone will take it to heart and fix the board. There are some here with good info to share but it's hard to wade through the BS to get to it.

 

Don't know how you guys at Dana are doing Mike...but the terminal I am out of for Miller...We had a 60 load campaign cancel friday afternoon. Instead of our guys making some decent change through the end of the month, Memphis terminal is getting to do it.
