Hauling Asphalt in the winter?? in the midwest?? dude all due respect arent you still in high school?? correct me if my wrong but don't road construction and quarry hauling slow down in the winter?
I'm in a co-op/work study program only seniors can take it and I'm a senior and I have half days so I can do it. I doubt I can do the asphalt I originally applied for a position in the shop and found out about this gig. Yeah it slows down in the winter but we had nothing but rain and flooding this summer so the asphalt is picking up and from what the company told me it's suppose to continue into October.

Oh ok, not sure if the plants will run that long down here who knows, but it is starting to get cold here in Illinois.

How much freight is in the area? Is the freight going the way you need it to to get home for the weekend? If there is nothing coming out and $1.65 is the best you can get why not take it?

That's right. Dad is going home this weekend making $1.47/mi. I posted it a few posts back, maybe you didn't catch it. Nothing wrong with that, IMO, as long as your average works out.
