That sounds like the ticket right there.
Again where do you get all this info?

There is a fairly large flatbed carrier that will take someone with zero experience, train them, including correct securment procedures and basically gurantees $1k a week and home every weekend, and you have zero operating cost and headaches, except to feed your pie hole.Oh and you have to get their truck washed once a week.....bummer.

And considering where your Dad lives I bet there are numerous local dedicated routes that he could be home every night.

But instead there are some that have to have their "own" truck and try to do it all by themselves with little experince and in the end hurt the majority of others out here by driving down the rates........rolling eyes right back at ya
Let me know a carrier that is local that will let me run 5 days a week, home on weekends, and make $1000/wk for 40-50 hrs with no cost to me plus a decent benefits package and I'll consider it.

If my dad is driving down rates help me get in touch with brokers who pay better and give me their contact info. Just think of it as me helping you make more money.

LOL. Well you have a point, but you can learn alot from a person like him. Not saying that his way is the best, but it does work. Gman has a diffrent approach and people respondes well with it. But like him or hate him, Big Diesel is full of knowledge. I did not say full of S*%#.

Should I just drive the damn truck also,so you can ride in the passenger seat and post on CAD all day long? Do you have any ability to do any research on your own? There is only a 200+ page thread on this very site with more than enough info on it about them.Since when are truck drivers working 40-50 hrs a week?

And where is this "decent" benefits package that the old man is getting with his uh hum cough $1.80 a mile?

Did you see the word "I'll" in bold?

I based the $1.30/mi of costs on 2000 miles/wk. At 60 miles/hr that is about 33.3 hrs. Add in tarp time and detention it may be 40-50 hrs/wk.

If you are going to say that there is a job paying $1000/wk guaranteed then why not say the company name?
