Sideman, I believe there is a truck salvage yard in Knoxville, TN. You might check with them to see if they have something that might work for your truck. I don't know of a lot of truck salvage yards around this area.

It's probably not too far from you, I have no doubt if I dropped you off in front that place you'd be rollin out a few hours later in a complete truck for less than 5 grand, different colors maybe.

They are a little over 100 miles from me. I could be there in a couple of hours. 8)

Sure - I know the difference because I used to do it. Most others don't, and it isn't a true representation of your numbers. What the van line grossed from the load is irrelevant - you're not the van line. What the truck made is the number that matters.

But I suppose - it makes those who don't know any better get all excited.

Doesn't make any difference. They are going to pay what they are going to pay and that's it unless it's the last second and they have to move it.

Thanks guys. Actually I just sold my house here on Long Island, but I will be here for 1 more year and then I am moving to Fayetteville, GA.
So I will be in the neighborhood soon. I hope you guys go easy on yankees.
I have got some time to play with, but I would like to put a sleeper on my truck, because it is so hard to find the right truck. I know what I've got and it has treated me well. (Knock on wood) I want to avoid the process of working out the kinks on another truck with a sleeper.

Steve, you are correct, but I still tell the bleeding heart story sometimes to get a reaction.

I believe Fayetteville, GA has an ordinance against Yankee's.
