hoohaa, check with a collection agency and see if it's collectible. If it is tell them they can take 50% and let 'em have at it. Obviously it's not a big deal to you but maybe they can cause a little grief

Someone on another board said Arrow showed up on their credit alert list last week. Don't know the details but she was surprised a company that had been around so long was on there. Might want to keep a close eye on them in the future.

We have filed on their bond, a few weeks ago.
1400 dollars, 41 days over due.

They said that detention times are not collectable, so I keep billing them seperatly for it.

If I dont get anywhere with the bond, then I'll get a collection company on them.

I made the mistake of not checking them out, before I pulled the load.
Who woulda thunk that I would have to worry about a company that size.

As long as detention is in the contract or rate confirmation it is legally collectable. Filing on their bond might help if it isn't used up already.

It is not in the rate confirmation.
The times are marked and signed on the bill though.
I aint holding my breath either way.
Chalk at up at cost of doing business.

Shiat happens sometimes.
Only way a bond can be used up, as I understand it, if the company is out of business.
They would have to renew the bond if it was used up
They can not operate without a bond legaly.

But then again, this is trucking, and anything can happnen.

BTW...Quit picking on the Rev, before I go over there, and smack the snot out of you. :P

Speaking of Landstar, I was contacted by a very personable agent the other day that tries to get trucks to move farm equipment out of New Holland, PA. 1250 loaded miles on a step deck, 5 stops (3 in Quebec). I said $3750 but was told I "wasn't even close".

I figured my rates as follows: (1250 miles + 70 miles DH to PU) x $1.92 + $1,000 profit + $50 for each extra stop.

I'm guessing he was just fishing for someone to undercut the rate that was posted on the BCO site.
