Ya try'n to make me sound like I got a cold r some-thing Steve ??? Oh yeah theres plenty of places to spend money. There is a lot of Hodgie (local's) shops that sell just about everything and anything. I've bought a lot of stuff that I never could have in the states. Then there's the PX where everything is about 2 times the cost that it is in the states. Most of my money has went into my property and that building n a 40 ft 5th Whl and the RGN the Pete (especially now !!!! ) ect ect ect. I don't really have much saved as we speak except for the motor money for the truck. Thats 1 thing that really bugs my new wife that there is'nt 100,000$ laying in the bank. I can put back about 5,000$ a month after bills over here. It seems everthing I do back there is 15 to 20 thousand dollars at a crack ???? I told her if she wanted to see that chunk of cash in the bank that I would just stay n work after Augest while this recession thing is going on.

Oh, OK. I sort of thought you were cut off from everything forcing you to not be able to spend any money.

A bunch of my friends went to work on the Alaskan pipeline in the early 70's after high school and came home with $120,000 tax free money. They were very rich by most peoples standards back then. They earned the most out of all the jobs. They would build a house for all the workers to stay in. When it was done they would tear down the house 10 miles or so back then rebuild it 10 miles ahead of the one they just built. They endured the most hardships as they lived outside until they had enough of the structure up for them to live in. They all opted to not take any money until the very end. Gambling was pretty bad. We would all send them boxes of crap but to them it was like gold. Butts, magazines, gum....whatever!

That sounds like a lot harder conditions than over here !!! But the heat at 135 degrees ain't no fun in Augest either. You can't get away from it.. If I had it to do all over again I'd probably just bank-roll the 5 every month n do all that stuff after I came home I guess ?? Vacations are expensive especially the first 2 or so because you want to do stuff while your home or out exploreing other places like Thailand n China ect ect ect !!! Several of the other drivers that I have worked with have bought houses in the Phillipeenes and Thailand . But I could'nt see doing that n then going back to work in the States only to see that other house for a couple of weeks a year or so ??? Don't get me wrong I totally enjoyed Thailand n all of that but I don't know if I could live there 24/7 .. Bangkock was a rush !!!! N Mainland China Beihjing--Shanghai--n especially Hong Kong was really really some-thing !!!! On CDL of it I have posted some pictures of all of that ..

You can prevent your disk getting corrupted during a fall by doing the following to your new laptop.

Bring up a DOS (cmd) window and type

Format C:

That makes your disk drive format compatible with any laptop in the future so all you have to do is replace the disk.

You should do that now.
