Moving your 5th wheel forward will add weight to your drives, and take it off your trailer axles.

Sorry to disagree, but sliding your 5th wheel forward will add weight to your steering axle. The total weight of your drives and steers will remain the same.

Moving your trailer tandems back will add weight to your drives.

You can move the 5th wheel all you want and it wont change the weight on the trailer tandems.

It could be something as simple as a loose wire or connector. Since it is new and under warranty, I would take it to a trailer dealer at let them fix it if you can't find it yourself. It could also be in the pigtail. You can sometimes get corrosion around some of the pins or wiring which will not allow a good connection. Since the trailer is new, I would suspect a loose wire or pigtail. If you are talking about the top lights, a forklift could have torn a wire loose while loading.

Ya, this load doesn't add up. 900 bags of 50 pound onions does not weigh 49,900 pounds. I have a feeling they ship more weight than what they say to get a lower rate on freight charges and the end customer probably knows this and pays for a 53 pound bag in reality. I know it comes out to 55 pounds but taking into consideration the skid before you all jump on me.

I've stopped 3 times already this morning and each time I've washed my hands 5 times and still my fingers are dirty. I think I'm going to have to wait till new skin grows back.

I've discovered that every cop has a CB and they listen to channel 19. I've talked to a lot so far and they all answer if you say something to them. It was early this morning and one passed me so I get on the mic and ask, "Shoot anyone today DanO". He answers with a depressed voice, "No....sigh....Not yet".

So, one more stop here in I-Da-Hoe then 90 miles to Ogden UT and shut down at the Flying J and get my head on straight again and get myself organized.

I'm going to call my local CB shop and tell them I want some BIG AZZ radio for my truck. Everyone has a radio that blows my head off and I can hear them talking to someone else clear as a bell but I can't hear the other person. I get on the mic and ask where he is and he's 7 miles away. I'm sick of only hearing 5 minutes of the conversation. I just got off the phone with my local CB shop and they are making me a radio with over 50 watts so that should take care of that.

I'll be sure to alert the FCC.

Now you've gone and done it!...Radio Ray is going to get all over your case. Black helicopters, Federal agents, FCC power police, you name it.

You have to take a course in "trash-talkin" first.

More watts won't help the reception. Get a good receiver and antenna.

Radio Ray would love it!

BTW Steve, max wattage is 4 watts on regular channel, 12 on sideband.

I need a better setup myself, way too much noise. The needle sits at over half just from noise. Even on channels other then 19.

Well, everything else is made over there, so maybe they wanted to make some Pine-Sol.

Only 50? Go for about 300. That'll knock their socks off. :P

I have a 1 year old Cobra 29 and a new antenna and it was adjusted twice after I got it and both times it was right on. I don't think there is anything wrong with it, I just want to be able to talk further, I can hear the other people fine at a distance but they can't hear me after line of sight. He's going to hop up a Conex radio for me at home then I'll have it installed next week.
