Mine doesn't do that, I've never formally asked it to though.

For $600 it had better provide some "happy endings" or at least drive my truck while I sleep.
I would have talked her out of it, if I had known thats how much she paid for it.

Thanks for all the responses.
My girl is happy that there won't be a monthly cost. I was actually going to wait on the gps unit, but she bought it as a birthday gift.
I love the XM, I'll probably love the gps as well.
Does the 660 come with Jill??

You'll find you'll get attached to the voice and give it a name....it gets very lonely out there.... :?

It should be interesting. I like the new technologies, so this will probably be a fun tool. Now the question is,....will I miss my girl, or will I pretend the GPS is her?
That probably won't work,...because the GPS actually DOES have an off button

Boy how did we manage in the GOOD OLD DAYS before there were GPS CELL PHONES AND SATALITE COMMS. We got by with pay phones road maps and we called the shippers and receviers for directions. God help us if a solar flare ever takes out the satalites that power all the GPS or the satalites.

Ah, Doghouse is coming up with some zingers!!!
I'm going to get a GPS as soon as I feel I've got the money (when you use credit, 'having money' is rather nebulus). I use Streets and Trips, I can read a map. I can even fix the directions when I get them from a woman (I don't care, in your quiet moments you know exactly what I'm talking about  ). Still, people have told me GPS is really, really nice ifyou get a good one. Recently I've started paying attention to times when I have to drive around awhile to figure out where I'm supposed to be going. Because you've learned to work through those situations, you may not realize how often if happens or how much time it wastes let alone how hazardous it is to be driving around lost. Did I mention fuel?
Anyways, if anyone has a good Consumers Digest-type understanding of the different models and what works and what doesn't, that would be interesting to read. Just got my Centramatics all the way around, gotta get my heads and jakes done, GPS is coming.
