This might well be a Class 7 & 8 distinction on vehicle sales.

When I was looking for a truck I had my eye on a few at one of the biggest dealers in Utah who advertise all over the place. Warner Heavy Trucks.
I bought that service that allows you to look up accident history based on VIN number. All there trucks are listed as "NO ACCIDENT HISTORY". When I checked, some had more than 3 accidents. I sent email to the sales manager making him aware of this. He sent me a response and said they were all minor and he was pissed. So, now I'm angry and got online with the Utah Better Business Bureau. I post his advertisement and the Carfax report. Next thing I know is they side with me. I thought for sure they would blow me off. They asked what I wanted to do and one of the options was a permanent black mark on there record. I responded that they either not list ANY accident history and let the consumer look it up or they list how many accidents the vehicle has had. The dealer agreed to not list anything and I dropped the complaint. On another note. When selling any commercial vehicle the statement on the back to verify the odometer reading is correct does not apply. I did check this out and it's true in most states. For a non commercial vehicle the mileage statement does apply. When I bought my current truck this section was not filled out or signed. When I went to register it I asked and they said, yes that's true. If it was a car they would have rejected the title for not being filled out and signed.

why did you go back again and again and again?
you should`ve just got with a lawyer and contacted the state after the first truck`s issues, i`m pretty sure the dealer will still get hammered but i`m thinking your SOL since your traded up a couple times.

This saga now continues!!
I took the truck down to the terminal to lease it on, and described the problem the truck was having to them. Their shop checked out the situation, removed the fuel filters and found SUGAR in the fuel system. Not only that they have found quite a few other minor things wrong with the truck. The fuel filters did not stop the sugar as it made it past them and into the rest of the fuel system. The dealer is unwilling to help with this at all. So now we are forced to legal proceedings. We have now involved the TN Dept. of Consumer affairs, Dept of public safety, highway patrol (about the odometer), and the Better Business Bureau. These agencies already have a long list of complaints against this dealer. The dealer is not afraid of any of these agencies....The owner of the dealer GAVE me the number to the Dept. Of Consumer affairs. What a slap in the face that is. I am really at a loss, this has the potential to put me out of business. I have another truck right now down with a head gasket issue and cannot afford a large repair bill....Of course, we do not know what kind of legal recourse we have. Does anyone know of a way to remove the sugar from the fuel system??

I can't believe the arrogance of this dealership. This guy needs to be brought down if he's doing business like this. I have the perfect website that you can post your story on. I check this website all the time for companys that do terrible things to it's clients.
