I will be financing.Good credit and have down.
Wanting to save most of my cash for those (just in case it happens) days. I am in no real hurry as I have a good company job.Just tired of working for someone else who calls every shot. If it doesnt work out I can always go back to hauling crude. Please post.I am just trying to get some ideas in my head. Jon

Hmmm only a fair price on the Mack? Hmm I defenitly need to get outta here to buy a truck n get a decent price. I can tell you honestly, if you were out here looking at dealer ships, and saw that same Mack, they would want 40k cuz of the low mileage, I" QUARANTEE it. Then when I offered them say 33k they would laugh in my face.....this is all based on that truck really having only 400k plus mileage....I know there is more to look at a truck then just the miles, but every 99 truck I have looked at, has 700k plus miles...and when you talk about a truck havin a difference of 300k plus miles at a dealership they start seeing $ out here.....but I quess its all a matter of perspective of huh, were paying 2.85 a gallon for regular gas....well least I got a decent quote out here on insurance tho at 9k :-P
Opps miss read it....its 550 k or so....hmmm dont know why i was thinking 450 k or so.....but that would still be 35k at least here.....then when I offered 30k they would walk away from me, and not even want my #....so far these dealers onlly want to come down a couple K's so since I have cash in hand I usually walk too....if I needed their financing (which I think they are depending on) I may have had a different attitude. I think thats how they are getting more $ here, most people want their financing and lots of creative ways to get it they come up with (even with poor credit). Basicly what I am saying is from my looking around, if the miles can be verified, they want 10k more where I am, and only willing to come down maybe a couple of thou......so that to me is a GREAT buy....but all in perspective maybe?

Why is it I dont see that many Mack sleeper trucks on the road?
Their oilfield trucks are tougher than boot leather.
