Opinions on a couple of trucks....
What do youll think of these 2?
http://twinstatetrucks.com/inventory...et/?ID=1771661 And the blue 1999 T600 at http://chuckhenry.com/sleeper_trks.htm |
Hmmm miles are nice on the first, I was wondering if thats the true mileage tho; I have been looking at a LOT of trucks lately, and its very uncommon to see that low mileage in a 99'. 2002 the mileage is around that mileage to 650,000 is common to see....hmmm did you ask for a ECM printout to verify that mileage? If its true mileage its a fabulous buy; I know I see trucks in the 40k range price for mid 500k miles...any make truck with a sleeper runs that (the miles alone drive the price up if verified on the ECM.)

Both seem like decent trucks. The T600 doesn't have an engine brake and unless it has had some engine work, is getting close to where many need a rebuild. If you plan on only running on flat roads, the engine brake isn't so much of a factor. You can always have an engine brake installed. I think the Mack is a bit high on the price. I would try to get it for around $20-22M if it is in good shape.

What purpose do you plan to use the truck for? The mack is high on price, K-Dubbs seem to hold their resale value well.
I'm partial to KW, so thats my choice. But again, what you plan to haul would reflect my honest (unbiased) opinion. |
Leasing on to CRST Malone,flatbed.
I missed the "no jakes" on the KW so we can forget that one. I prefer KWs but thought the Mack seemed priced reasonable.Guess I was wrong. Quote:

You get what you pay for. A jake can always be added, too

What is a ballpark $ figure to add jakes?
I know this varies but am just wanting an idea. Thanks |
I forgot what it cost my dad on a truck many moons ago. But pricing that could help ya out. or, keep searching for a truck with all the goodies. Is there a price range you're trying to stick to?

Cash in hand? If you're fianancing, might as well go up a little more. There are still plenty of choices out there under 25K, can i post some links here if i find some?
