Tailgating on flatbed means turning the skids so the forklift can get them off the back when you bump the dock. They most likly dont have an outside forklift. So you will bump the dock and they will load you from the dock.

Hope ya feel better.....We have already learned our lesson with flying J food

If you are still in de moines area...we are headed through there later today. Let us know if ya are still there.

If you are still pulling your flat, I guess tailgating might mean handing the pieces (bags?) off the sides.
I had a load similar to that not long ago. It was a load of drywall mud going to a Sherwin Williams store that just had a little concrete dock along-side the back wall of the store. Had to pull up into the bank's parking lot next door and slide the trailer as close to the wall as possible. They had a little stand-up forklift and a pallet jack. A couple of fellows would grab a pallet with the pallet jack, roll it to the end of the trailer, then a fellow with the little forklift would pick it up and shove it into the back of the store. Damnedest thing I've ever seen! I've had a lot of loads that could only be unloaded from the rear, but I've never seen it done like that on a flatbed.

Hmm... I've eaten at the J a thousand times and never gotten sick. I have been so full from time to time I had to get a couple of the waitresses to roll me out to the truck, but never gotten sick. I never eat the buffet, by the way. :dung:

I think I had a problem at the Flying J in South Carolina once. I believe it was somewhere around Florence. I never get their buffet. I have seen too many people leave the men's room, not bothering to wash their hands, and go straight to the buffet. That did it for me. I hope you get to feeling better soon, Steve. By the way, I usually keep some Pepto Bismuth in the truck, just in case.
