Nice looking bike Steve. I'd like to have a Harley but with too many morons on the road around here I'm askeered
Yup, I hear ya. New Hampshire has the most motorcycles per capita anywhere in the US so people are very much aware. Loud pipes tend to make your presence known also!!!

I use to teach the advanced rider safety program like jumping over 2x4's and how to fall down. The one thing I impressed upon them was that you really have to survive the learning experience by those close calls. Your mother can tell you over and over that you'll get burned but until you do, it just doesn't become automatic.

And, by the way ladies. You had the highest percentage passing rate in all motorcycle classes. Beginner, intermediate and advanced. Why you ask? Because you followed directions.
I'm considering getting a motorcycle for my upcoming commute of 3 miles each way.

But, how long would it take for triple the mileage to offset the initial cost?

This is my dilemma...
your hauling drilling mud bases? is it bentonite or lignite? tell me its not caustic soda
Well, if you use "Steve's truckers math to success" it will take you 6.3 round trips.

Get one of those Vespa Scooters. I've always wanted one to tool around the neighborhood.

It's bentonite. Even though I'm at 80,000 it hauls pretty good.

Steve, I started riding hondas and rode a vespa in Bridegton all over the place. I have had a 500 shadow, cb 900 and brought an old BMW back to life before I decided to quit riding because of many close calls..

I would like one to run around town on but traffic is way to crazy because no one pays attention or seems to care about other drivers here. Nice Harley by the way. Thanks for posting those nice pics.

Yes. After 5mph over then hit the brakes until 5mph under.

I was in MacDonald's ( it's McDonald's ) a few months ago in Florida and I got a coffee. I went to pay and she said it was free. I asked, is some promotion going on? She said no, senior citizen. OH MAN

I have a 2005 Road King FLHR, black, hard cases. Been riding also since I was maybe 15. First bike was a Bridgestone 60cc. Raced motocross in the 70's on a RM250. Made it to amature but couldn't get to expert. #901

Stopped for the day in Rapid City North Dakota ( it's South Dakota on I-90 ) at the Flying J. Nice place, clean and a great buffet. These truck stops vary sooooo much in quality from one to the other. This one even has it's own bar and casino. $3.25 per gallon for fuel!!! Once again I can only have 1/2 tanks as I'm maxed out with that drilling mud stuff. Doesn't matter though, I can't drive enough in one day to use close to 1/2 a tank.

Made a couple of corrections... Don't want the fans confused...
You've got it made BigDiesel, wow! :P
Wish I had all that time!
P.S. just getting my 50 posts to PM. Been away for a while.
Nice bike Steve, my co-worker has a similar bike.
I'm not a Harley fan because it seems everyone wants to be a follower and own a Harley. But owning American products and being from WI where Harley is headquartered would probably be a factor in deciding.
Anyway, sharp ride.
Steve
