I talked to dispatch later in the day, and they offered me a 10 day, 2800 mile trip that would have paid me a gross of $6572.44.

I turned it down.

Call me stupid, but why would it take you 10 days to run 2800 miles? Maybe 5 days to run 2800 miles out, and another 5 days to run 2800 miles back, that's believable.

Just curious, really. <shrugs>

Household goods. 6 shipments to load, 6 shipments to unload. These things take time.

And I never "run 2800 miles back". I go where the money is. Backhauls are not in my vocabulary.

Hence the fact that I'm still sitting at home in my office, and not busting my azz for chump change.

They can come up with better, and they know it.

I wasn't asked to not post on this thread, so I did. I still haven't posted on the other one. Perhaps I should go and see if there is something I could post.
Go post GMAN, no of these other guys are listening to the important things, i'm glad someone is listening.

Yoopr stop stirring the pot and I'm going to attempt to tone it down. Some of these guys just want to boast and not give any pertinent, useful info. And it pisses me off, I've seen many O/Os come and go because they wont listen, cant load their wagon, but they know it all.
