The previous owner may have had a magnetic plate holder. Common among vehicle dealers.

Steve, I prefer the driving down the highway method. :lol: You could always keep a shovel with you as well as a big broom. Snow can add a lot of weight to your truck. Most of the snow will easily blow off your trailer while you run down the highway. Some states have attempted to pass legislation which would hold a carrier or driver liable for sheets of ice that blows off of the top of their trailer, and writing tickets. I have never had that problem with a flat bed. There is definitely an advantage to pulling a side kit in winter. :wink:

ops: Well, it works best when ice isn't present on top of the load. If it is just snow, it doesn't take very long to just blow off.
