JB Hunt CAN'T take it off!!! Only the company that put it on can, which is who you need to be talking to. I'll send you a PM with a good person at Roehl to contact regarding this...
I left Roehl on less than good terms after what they did to me for my back problem, but they did NOT screw my DAC, nor do I believe they would intentionally screw yours. Why haven't you called them about it?

Okay, now I'm confused.
At the beginning of the thread, the OP says that it is Roehl that he lost the job with. Then halfway through the thread, it has suddenly changed to JB Hunt claiming he abandoned a truck. What gives?

sorry for the confusion..
i lost my job with roehl.. thats a seperate issue.. its irritating but something i can get over.. now that im trying to get another job.. i found out that j.b.hunt put an abandonment on me when i dropped thier truck off in the yard. (j.b.hunt was the company i worked at before roehl) i didnt find out about it. until after i was terminated from roehl and tried to get a new job.. now with both a termination and an abandoment on my dac report im hosed. the termination i can live with its by roehl and i was terminated for not checking my king pin.. while i may not like it. i can live with it. the abandoment by jbhunt is something entirly different its almost career ending and i didnt abandon my truck. (j.b.hunt was my first solo company i had worked with crst before that and just got off the truck once my contract date was up (with notice) and the company gave me a bus ticket home. unfortuantly i didnt know things were going to be this cut throat and strait up lies in the solo department so no i didnt take pictures but anyone on j.b.hunts end can see i did an empty call in thier yard. another driver left with my trailer from the yard. and i have the qualcomm to back me up on being directed to take my truck to the yard. i in no way abandoned this vehicle.

There are (7)seven different abandoments. Which one are they showing?
company terminal with notice company terminal without notice authorized location with notice authorized location without notice un-authorized location with notice un-authorized location without notice left with team driver If you were under a load it will show as an abandoment also.

Not that i agree but you have a location you were hired (operate) from. Someone may approve an alternate(usually if it benefits the company to have the truck there)
Authorized location could be a dealer ect. The worst is un-authorized without notice.

Example: I drove for Roehl out of the Groveton, NH terminal. When one of our drivers out of this terminal arrived in the Gary, IN yard to fuel someone from the office came out and fired him on the spot and he had to find his own way home. This was done because they were shutting down the terminal and wanted the truck there and figured that if they told the drivers from NH this the drivers would never come to Gary. I have this directly from one of the dispatchers who is a friend of mine. They planned to do this with all of the drivers out of the Groveton location. Of course, none of us wanted anything to do with that and began refusing loads to IN and WI. Finally, When one of our drivers out of this terminal was going to quit they directed him to bring the truck to the Gary, IN terminal and leave it there and they would "find a way to get him home". Guess they figured this was the only way they were going to get the equipment back in the mid-west. Because of what they pulled before He refused and left the truck in Groveton, NH which was where he picked it up and where he was domiciled out of. The "We'll find you a way home" line is one I can't think of a single driver falling for. Anyways, Roehl put an abandonment on his record because he didn't bring it to the location they wanted. I was working the 7/7 fleet out of Groveton and when I heard all of this I brought the truck back and when the other driver came in and left with the truck on his run i went inside and gave a weeks notice. No abandonment. Fair? Not in my book but that's how it works at some, if not most, companies. It's up to you whether to bring it 1,000 miles away from your home or not. Me? Well, my girlfriends daughter works for an airline and I can fly anywhere in the US free of charge so I can get home but I'd rather not go that route. Last edited by jonp; 04-10-2009 at 10:11 AM.

If you give notice and bring it to a location they specify then how is that abandonment? Are you saying an authorized location like a terminal but not the one they wanted it in? Thats the same as my post above.

Now i'm wondering about my dac. I gave JB a weeks notice. My bosses boss flew off the handle at me the next day and directed me to the home terminal yard and told me I was done. He did apologize for yelling at me but i'm wondering if this will be an abandonment without notice or something else like a termination of employment.
