Mr. Ramirez had no knowledge about the second tracking device

I'm sorry that this Cuban ripped off this company, but they deserve it.
Next time, hire an American. Now, is this guy a citizen, or just a national with the right to drive in the US? Anyone know? I ask because CDL shouldn'd be given to those who are NOT citizens. They are, but they shouldn't be. Expect more stories like this when Mexico start sending their drivers on our soil.

People, please take your blind hatred elsewhere.
issedoff:I know many very hard working immigrants, while at the same time I know lots of lousy, lazy, sneaky, lying, dishonest white people. Race, color, creed, or national origin has nothing at all to do with being a good person...

The answers are there, But I do not know where. Optimistic and hopeful dreams, Are all I have so it seems. The future I do not know, So all I can do is take it slow. But I do know it will work out, So I wait and watch without a doubt.

Race, color, creed, or national origin has nothing at all to do with being a good person... I have known people from many, many cultures different from my own. Some of them were real azzholes and some of them were truly decent people. Same thing with WASP such as myself… some are good and some are bad. Most people in my opinion are bad. They are selfish and many are narcissists. Probably why I only have two friends. We drivers are in a unique position to observe human behavior. We spend all day and night on the road in a glass bubble with little else to do other than watch the general populace. Perhaps you have noticed that most people when behind the wheel are dangerous or aggressive at minimum. You may also have noticed that most big truck drivers these days are supertruckers when they get behind a mic. I think that all the bad behavior you see on the roads these days are people’s true selves coming out. Being on the road or behind a mic is similar to being on the internet in that people have a sense of anonymity and therefore feel safe to be themselves (which they may normally keep in check in day to day life). It’s sad but I’m afraid it’s true.

This guy is not only a moron, but an amateur. We haul high $ loads all the time and know there’s tracking devices not only on the trailer but hidden in the freight. It sucks, because sometimes the wife and I like to stop and uh, sleep for a few hours and when we do we get frantic calls from the shipper wanting to know why we have stopped.
Other things to note from the story: “Capt. Tommy Bibb, head of the county’s Cargo Task Force, said, “This was an elaborate operation by South Florida operatives to throw off Marion County law enforcement officials, but their scheme failed.”” BS, it was a botched attempt by a bumbling amateur to make some fast cash. “Ramirez, who is originally from Cuba and lives in Hialeah Gardens in Miami, told the Star-Banner he knew nothing about the theft as he was being led to an awaiting sheriff’s deputy’s patrol vehicle.” When our truck, trailer and load were stolen in March ‘08, they recovered everything in [surprise] Hialeah. According to the FBI we talked to, Hialeah is the number one location in the country for stolen commercial trucks and heavy equipment and in the top three for destinations for stolen cargo. Seems these *****s have the trucks and equipment on cargo ships and out to sea within a day of stealing them. Russia was buying up all the equipment they could until recently and the rest was going to Central and South America. “If found guilty of theft charges in the case, Ramirez will lose his CDL license. The Department of Transportation will be inspecting Ramirez’s log book.” I don’t know about the federal law, but if tried for his theft in the State of Florida, it would be a punishable by, I believe, by up to 20 years in prison. Florida has three classes of grand theft, and this amount would put it into the highest category.
