Yup, for the longest time....up until the early 2000's ....CFI had NOTHING bout Cummins engines....the only way to have had one any different was to be an O/O..... The last truck I had there was a C15....and frankly I wasn't all that "impressed"...... I'd rather have stayed with the Cummins engines.

I once parked on an off ramp in 15* cold AND a 25mph cross wind that gelled up the tanks. The problem was the idle was set at "normal". It should have been "stepped up" to 1100, to circulate the warmed fuel more.

i recently had my truck dropped off a the shop. it was starting cold then dying after like 20 seconds. took like 15 tries to get it to run and stay running. check engine light went off when the temp got round 180.(30 minutes later) truck ran good for like 50 miles then the check engine light came on again and the truck was making a soft machine gun type of noise from the engine and had like half the balls it had before the problem started. gelled? i limped it into the shop and wrote it up and got a loaner truck. it was just in for repair for a bad injector, which had the same sound. maybe the injector again? 06 detroit columbia
