He told you that you were wrong because you were. Virtually everything you stated in your initial post was either incorrect, or extremely vague to the point of making it confusing.

Here is how split sleeper was explained to me....and please feel free to ring in again "Father" and tell me how i'm wrong:
Will do.

You must take an 8 hr break in the sleeper, the other 2 hours must be taken either line 1 or line 2.
Correct.

(it DONT have to be more than 2 hours, it DONT have to be only one or the other. if you DO take more than two, you dont get 'credit' for it later.)
I'm not entirely sure why you keep bringing this up. It was pretty clear what I said. "more than 2" and "at least 2" are the same thing. 2 hours and 1 nanosecond are "more than 2".:roll2:

Here is the easiest way to figure out what you can drive after taking an 8 or 2 hr break. You have 11 hours to drive, you drove part of that, and took your 8 hr sleeper break, take 11 minus what you drove before your break, and the sum is what you can drive before you take your 2.
Not necessarily.

If you were to accumulate more than 3 hours of On Duty (not driving) time prior to taking the 8 hour break, then you would not be able to do what you claim above. The 14 hour rule must always be taken into consideration, even when you are stopping for the 8 hour portion of a split sleeper break.

Taking an 8 hour break stops your 14hr clock, but it resumes when you start driving again from where it left off. IT DOES NOT RESET. when you drive a little, and take your 2hr break, the 14hr clock keeps ticking.
Correct.

34hr or 36 hr restart? yeah...it is 34.....so what. does taking an extra 2 hours off really matter when you drive your tail off, only to find you would have been in a line to get loaded anyways??
It does when you are trying to explain the regulations. It's the same as picking apart someone saying "more than 2" instead of "at least 2".:roll2:

And BTW, stop "altering" people's usernames in your hissy fit. If you can't make your point without resorting to such childish tactics, then you best not post at all.

Kev: You must take an 8 hr break in the sleeper, the other 2 hours must be taken either line 1 or line 2.

Rev: Correct.

Kev: (it DONT have to be more than 2 hours, it DONT have to be only one or the other. if you DO take more than two, you dont get 'credit' for it later.)

Rev: I'm not entirely sure why you keep bringing this up. It was pretty clear what I said. "more than 2" and "at least 2" are the same thing. 2 hours and 1 nanosecond are "more than 2".:roll2:

Hobo: Yes it WAS clear. Clearly incorrect. There IS a difference between MORE than 2 and AT LEAST 2. In math the difference is represented by the symbols ">" and "=>." The first is greater than (or more than) and the second is equal to or greater than (at least.) Kev is right that it must be AT LEAST 2 hours. It does NOT have to be more than 2 hours..... not even one nanosecond more.

Kev: Here is the easiest way to figure out what you can drive after taking an 8 or 2 hr break. You have 11 hours to drive, you drove part of that, and took your 8 hr sleeper break, take 11 minus what you drove before your break, and the sum [difference, actually] is what you can drive before you take your 2.

Rev: If you were to accumulate more than 3 hours of On Duty (not driving) time prior to taking the 8 hour break, then you would not be able to do what you claim above. The 14 hour rule must always be taken into consideration,

Hobo: Or AFTER your 8 hour break, but before you drove the second "leg."

Rev: ...even when you are stopping for the 8 hour portion of a split sleeper break.

Hobo: Not sure what he means here.

Kev: Taking an 8 hour break stops your 14hr clock, but it resumes when you start driving again from where it left off. IT DOES NOT RESET.

Hobo: Well it DOES... but not UNTIL you take the 2 hr break. The 8 hour break is OFF the 14 hour clock, and the clock resumes after it as far as computing WHEN to take the 2 hour break (or more accurately, the limit past which you cannot DRIVE until taking the next break.) But, as soon as you start your 2 hour break, the 14 hour clock RESETS to the end of the 8 hour break, and ticks right on through the 2 hour break.

Kev: when you drive a little, and take your 2hr break, the 14hr clock keeps ticking.

Hobo: Yes.... but NOW it is ticking away the 14 hours SINCE the end of your 8 hour break.

Rev: Correct.

Hobo: Of course I am.

I had no problem following it. Heck, I bet even Mike M could follow it. Your problems with comprehension are well documented. :lol2:

But, thanks for the award. I always like winning.

well this will be my last post on this board. if Rev.(edited) is made a 'mod', then s/he pretty much gets to be a ****, and then go run and hide behind their mod 'badge'.

So since he dont like me, and i dont like him, and it will just be a matter of time before he abuses his power...i'll just stop even looking onto this board for anything.

what is funny, is the double standard in place here......

Since you're leaving, you won't mind the 3 day ban you just earned yourself for continuing the personal attacks you were already warned about. You assume I don't like you, but in reality, I don't really care one way or the other about you. But the rules are the rules, and you continue to violate them. ~Rev.

Talking

A poll may be needed...

It will consist of 2 or 3 quastion:

Q1: "are you actually a truck driver?

Q2: "are you actually sitting in a truck somewhere on a laptop...with nothing better to do"

Q3:"How does your survival on Earth affect the HOS rules"

....something kinda like that
