Does anyone know of any trucking companies that don't use the DAC report and will hire a newbie driver with no experience? My husband is getting his DAC/USIS report fixed, but it takes forever to go through the process.

Mostly, the small family owned companies come to mind that dont really concentrate on running background checks, DAC, etc.. It's gonna be tough, trying to find a good job that will earn a decent living. Best of luck!

Most small carriers will not be able to qualify an inexperienced driver. Most will be limited to hiring those with at least 2 years experience. You may find a mid sized carrier who doesn't use DAC but can hire someone with little or no experience. More carriers are subscribing to DAC. It just makes doing checks much easier than calling and faxing for references to all an applicants references. I think he will have problems getting on with most carriers until either more time elapses or he can get the issue resolved. If the charges were dismissed I don't see that he should be an issue.
