What you need on those rusty rails is GREASE! Or, at least silicone! It makes absolutely NO SENSE to me to use a solution that breaks down grease on rails where you WANT them to be greased up and sliding easily!

If they put grease in a can, I would buy it and spray it on my tandem rails! I would NEVER use an anti-grease agent like Dawn on my rails! Are you crazy?

There's no special "trick" to this, dude. When you get a trailer that is rusty, you spray the rails with WD-40 or something like it. Works like magic, and you can slide the tandems with ease. We've been doing it for years!

The day I spray my tandems with a combination of Windex and Dawn (both designed to reduce grease) is the day I hang up my keys!
well guess what, the idea for using that on tandem rails came from my mentor. Besides, i can count on one hand how many times i have seen grease on tandem rails. ZERO. They are almost always rusty and dirty looking. And if it IS there, it is in such small amounts, I cannot see it.

Thank you for the picture of the spray can, will have to look for that.

GolfBum, please tell me where i can send you a little bottle of this stuff so you can spray it on your rails, so you can quit.

Yeah, dude! Send it to me in care of the next truckstop AHEAD of you down the road! I'm sure your "mentor" can explain to you how to use the postal service! Lol!

So...just because it's not there, he assumes grease won't help metal slide against metal....

Does your trainer use Dawn on his fifth wheel, too?

to get on with wal-mart dedicated, you MUST have 2 years of otr experience and no at fault preventable accidents. anybody else that gets on with less either knows somebody at the dc or seriously kissed all kinds of ass, and sold out their dignity. i'm currently on the waiting list for the dedicated reefer fleet out of the wal-mart distribution center in casa grande, az. the waiting lists for walmart dedicated fleets is HUUUUUUUUUUUGE! it'll be a long ass wait. if you live down in the part of arizona that i do, you'd have a better chance of getting on to a dedicated account that goes from snowflake and flagstaff to denver, co and back. from what i've gathered, it's dedicated paper rolls. those are fun. even more so when you're going through mountains that are covered with snow and ice.

by the way, in case anybody ever tells you that you can decline loads due to weather. don't listen to them, and don't even try declining a load just because it'll have you going through some snow, driving on ice, and so on. the pre-plan will be shot back and your dm will be messaging you. the only way to do that is to get on with the container division that goes from phoenix to long beach and back. but, you have to be based out of mira loma/fontana, or phoenix.

His mentor also says that you can drive 15 hours a day, hell you can drive as long as you want long as you don't get tired... yup his mentor said all of this

While slightly on the topic of window cleaners. What kind of miracle window cleaner brand/concoction is there that works the best. I love clean windows that have been thoroughly RainXed. RainX is a lifesaver for night driving.

Heh heh HB. Since when has anyone ever cared about what will happen when the next driver is unfortunate enough to be assigned the piece of crap trailer that you have just gotten rid of.
