I’m working 14 hour days, so I can not always post at the appropriate moment, in the appropriate place, but I’m trying to not let that hinder me from doing my job here.

Belpre, I’m sure it comes as no surprise you are on the short list. I hope you can figure a way to get along without the behavior that brought you to this point. There are a lot of good things you offer, and quite a few members here like you, or want to like you.

I don’t mind drawing a line in the sand, or taking the fallout for doing my job. Shows me where members stand.

Frankly, I'm behind Road Hog 100%. I can't be on the board every minute of every day, moderating every post, neither can any other moderator. But between the few of us that moderate, we manage to cover most of the posts. And this is one such example....first time I've looked at this post, after being asked to review.

The bottom line is this. I don't much care how everyone feels about local, OTR, line haul, or Tonka trucking. Makes no difference whether you love it or hate it.

But here's the rub. This board is populated primarily by OTR and regional drivers. CAD's revenue is 100% generated by OTR and regional companies. If we are getting complaints from people that are sick and tired of being castigated by "local" or "ltl" drivers because of their choice to run OTR, guess which side the hammer is going to come down on?

If you want to sing the praises of local running, by all means do so. But if you can't do it without punking OTR drivers in an endless and monotonous stream of overused insults, then take a hike and don't look back.

Keep in mind, this isn't about a typical board tiff, where we will simply try to settle the combatants down and move on. This is about a very small handful of people attempting to negatively affect the revenue stream of a business (CAD). Put yourself in Lee's place. What would you do?

Many of the regular members as well as the moderators have already said it plain and clear, so I don't need to rehash. If you can't take a hint, then you might pack your bags, and be ready. I will consider the well being of this message board, and its regular members.

No one is saying you are not entitled to your opinion, but please find a way to get along, or move along, or I will show you the way out.

At the risk of being a victim of yours, I must say that your post was a bit heavy handed and more than a little inappropriate.
Not at all. There are those among us, and I honestly do not know if I'm on his list or not, that seem to have no regard for the rights of others. Those that have nothing constructive to say, but insist on expressing their contempt for others. I'm surprised it came across as mild as it did. He's being decent about it, and I believe it did NEED to be said.

I strongly disagree with your opinion of Hogs post. Having said that, your post is a great example of how to voice your opinion without having to go to the personal attack level and the flame throwing that has drawn the ire of Hog and the rest of the moderator team.

Most of those that have been here awhile know I I'm not known for long, drawn-out posts. With that said; While we did TRY to let things work themselves out, there are some here that just took things up another notch. When that happens it is time to step in. It is a fair warning. Don't start crying when your on the outside looking in. N'uff said.

:?

Sorry if I got out of hand here....Belittling people just because you can, tends to yank my chain pretty hard.

Truck driving is an honorable profession...regardless of the "Dim-bulbs" that feel otherwise.

It's all Stan's fault...........

Belpre hereby announces his retirement from OTR "bashing." What started out as some fun, has now become entirely something else and has run it's course.

I have contributed more than my fair share to the animosity. That said, I apologize to everyone that I have offended, especially those who make their living in the OTR segment of the industry, and I offer the olive branch.

I will now be returning to what I do best, and enjoy the most;

1. Watching and helping motivated newbies come to this board and find out why we are all so very passionate about our great industry. As a more than wet-behind-the-ears Belpre122 did four years ago, and found a great career. All of this because of the fine folks here at CAD.

2. Fuel tankers.

It's time for Belpre to give back some of what he was given.

Looking forward,
Belpre
