Well apperently Colts Fan if you were ever in service you must have been a no load or something. I was active duty for 21 years and the pay was excellent. With all my special duty pays and extras before benefits my pay was around 60,000. Most of that was non taxable. add the benefits like medical and dental.......sure is alot to walk away from.

As for the bullseye on your back comment. You fellas must be some real pony boys that have been gelded. Grow a set and quit being such a cheese dick.

Nothing pony boy about knowing the reality of being shot at which has such known side effects as limb loss and death ...And growing a set of false brass balls is usually what the armed services does on young people who are easily lead into being convinved they are nearly indestructable due to their natural youthfull mindset of immortality .

See the Army offers all the medical stuff for me and the pay is good when you add up all your housing etc..... and I am looking into the field of light wheel mech. or heavy const. equip. operator and me and the wife have talked about many many times and we just think about deployments and how long a year is etc..... but they make it such a good deal, but hell I dont know :?

up sound somewhat confused. understandably so. however.
trucking offers medical as well. but if you an the wife have parents, now would probably be a good time to consult them. your both young, and thats what good parents do. they offer guidance.

i wouldnt look for that in a bunch of truck drivers.

yep, exactly,

even trucking with swift and home for 3 days every 3 weeks would net you a whole lot more. and have full medical bennies as well. you could even treat them to outback steakhouse once a month. 8)

You can be shot driving down the road right here in the good ol USA. I wasnt in the Army, I was a Marine. I find any and everything I did in those 21 years was just as safe as driving a truck.

WELL DA&M I guess I was in the wrong army, I didnt make jack! ($60,000 ?? how many stars did you have?) But the time was well spent and I did learn alot.
In basic training a 30years old would almost be old enough to be the other guys daddy :lol: at this point in your life I wouldn't reccommend it
