truckingtiger it was not meant to be construed as a messed up post it just is.
If you have a hernia then according to your way GOD is trying to tell you something, karma? Maybe you did something wrong in your past? Children paying for the sins of their father? I don’t know and I don’t have the answers, I do know that the God I believe in is kind and gentle not mean and to be feared like the bible states that’s all. If you are having difficulty, according to your believes you screwed up some where and GOD is coming after you. I truly don't believe that by any means and you have every right to believe as you choose more power to you, the same goes for me as well that’s all. Please do not be upset as life is to short for that. You see my ex is a fundamentalist Church of GOD Christian snake charming and all so I am kind of close to the subject as I get to witness her tell my 13 yr old she is going to hell for reading Harry Potter. Religion is kind of a sore subject to me, and there is no way on earth that the GOD I believe in would punish a child for reading a book no matter what contents or in it. That’s all. Merry Christmas and good luck with that hernia that is a painful operation... Timberwolf

dude, like I said, you believe YOUR way and Ill do it GOD'S way. It's all good. God isnt punishing me at all. Ill get another physical and another doctor will feel just like MY doctor feels..."If it doesnt bother you, and you dont mind it being there, dont worry about it".
Im not pushing my religion on anyone here. Please, dont push your LACK of it on me.

In fact, I just left my physical and I have a hernia (umbilical) and the doctor wont let me lift more than 25 pounds until it is fixed. So, being that SNI has their little test and you have to lift 60 to shoulder height, I cant drive or even go to school for them until it is fixed. . Thought a hernia was supposed to be able to be felt by the person who has it ?

Truckingtiger, good luck ! I too am a noob , got all excited at first , went to a flatbed company ( good company ) then reality set in . I was doing
very good and was HIRED . After the Training Manager came and gave a speech about seeing his Daughter being raised on a video I had to rethink what was more important ( got two kids ) , So I left . Now don't get me wrong , I can deal with being away for a while but the feeling I got was that when I was home it would be for anywhere from a few hours to a 34 hour restart at best ,so I deciced I would do what I had intended to do all along. I talked about hauling cars all thru school , that is what I went to CDL training for in the first place . Now I am just a week or two away from starting my own car haul business. I have read and been told it is not a good idea to go out on your own as a noob but I have been self employeed for so long that I can hardly see my life any other way. I have bought a truck and gotten approval for all ins and am in the process of getting my first client. Anyway I will say to you , keep up your positive attitude you will go far. Yes I am sure there will be regrets but you have a good out look . I have seen millionaires that complain and whine about everything and are downright unhappy. On the other hand I have seen ditch diggers that as happy as can be . It is what you make it . I do agree with Timberwolf in that GOD gave us all a free will but also the Bible tells to do all things to the Glory of GOD ( paraphrase) and if you want to give GOD the glory then I say amen.

I had a hernia repair a few years ago. It hurt like a b*tch for 3 days afterwards. And it takes at least 1 year to fully heal. I know Roehl will train you for free if you end up driving 120K miles for them, Their DOT physical did not check me for a hernia. I would recommend their program to my best friend.
respects, Dennis in se pa now only posting on www.classadrivers.com

THanks Dennis. My best friend is a pro wrestler and he had the same thing that I do. He said he was down for about a week after the surgery and then he was good to go. Fully healed within a month. Now, this is an umbilical hernia and can be fixed with the scope. He said that he elected to have them cut him and fix it that way so it wouldnt come back. He did say that he was in a LOT of pain but was back in the ring within the month.
Also, Dennis...dont you already have to have the CDL license to be trained by Roehl? I dont have my license (got the permit, though).

Roehl takes newbies. All you need is your permit. I got my permit in PA. Went to Roehl's school on 11/28. Graduated on 12/14 and got a Wisconsin CDL-A. Took that home to PA and flipped it over at the DMV for a PA CDL-A and now I am good to go. There are a bunch of us from this and that other Nazi run board who went there and are perfectly happy. 6-9 people per class. Individual attention. Great people. Tell them I said they better take good care of you!
![]() After the 3 week school you get 2 - 10 day sessions with a trainer 1 on 1, then you get your own truck. I was allowed to put off those session until after the new year. Their hometime policy is a big plus also. You really ought to check them out. respects, Dennis in se pa

Hey, Guys!!
Let's quit pi&&ing on the guy's parade!! TruckinTiger SAID he had a CONDITIONAL hire, he know what that means, and if he's been following CAD for any length of time, he's had time to get a good heads up about the industry. Look, The Pumpkin may not be the best company out there, but everybody has to start out somewhere, and every driver has to turn his first paid mile with some company. There are certainly worse options than SNI. BOLU. Tiger!! Stay Safe!! |
