I was just banned from truckersreport.com. I have been there about 4 months and have made a bunch of informative and inquisitive posts regarding trucking. I've been trucking for only close to a year now. I started with Werner and am now with JB Hunt. A lot of people like to tell horror stories about JB, but I've been bringing in paychecks of 900/week OTR, so I'm content for now. Apparently the owner of truckersreport.com (WiseOne) worked for JB Hunt for a grand total of 3 weeks and quit because he wasn't happy.

I made a post that basically asked how anyone could properly judge a trucking company after only 3 weeks on the job. I asked him why he thought it wasn't hypocritical to complain about bad JB Hunt recruiters in one breath and then make an anti-JB Hunt thread a sticky at the top of his forum in another. That's complete hypocrisy if you ask me. Minutes after I made my post it was deleted. I was sent the following PM. Keep in mind, I used no foul language, I didn't personally attack anyone, and I simply stated my opinion that...so far...I've had a good experience with JB Hunt.


I attempted to reply to the PM, and when I hit submit, a screen came up telling me I was banned from the forum. The reason? "Smartass."

I'm blown away that a forum where hundreds of trucking companies are discussed on a regular basis could be so censored and biased towards the companies they like and so negative towards the ones they don't.

Look, if you have a problem with JB Hunt, please...speak freely, but why censor me and ban me for having an opposite opinion? Is there something wrong with that? Personally I think the actions taken by the owner of truckersreport.com are completely pathetic.

Anyway, I had to get that off my chest. And hello, I'm new here.

 

I hope that you have some thick skin. Jb is bashed here also. So is Swift, Werner, Schnider, Heartland(sorry batman), ETC. Some drivers like those companies and do well with them. Some drivers have bad experiences and bash them. Keep it clean and fair and you and Cluggy can go round and round about JB. You'll see what I mean

 

I have no problem with JB being bashed. I personally have had great success with them so far. I'm open minded. I just don't think it's right to censor the opinion of another truck driver just because it goes against your own, you know? I've got no qualms with anyone, I was just telling it how I saw it. If the owner of this forum is also anti-JB Hunt, that's fine...but I would hope he thinks making a sticky thread at the top of the forum about anti-JB Hunt over the line. Hopefully I'm not wrong.

 

As long as you're happy with what you're doing that's all that matters

Yup. I agree. That is just what it is, an opinion. You like them, he doesn't. Next topic. To banned you may have been a little uncalled for but then again you did not express the same opinion that he has. I know a few trucking sites like that :wink: .(not this one)
