Cords run around $55 and it fluctluates and Log hauling up here pretty much revolves around 100 mile Radius.

There's log haulers all over east Texas and into Louisiana.
Driving thru Crockett and Jacksonville that's about all I see.
Everytime I get stuck behind one I start thinking about "Final Destination 2"
 :P

I recently spoke to the guy I would be driving for. He likes to do the local stuff and home at night. I told him I didnt mind being away a few nights a week. He said he could hook me up with road trips that would have me typically out Monday and back Thursday evening. Running between yards instead of going out in fields. I know this industry as all of them are feast or famine at times. Said I would get 30% of what the truck makes. Local runs = $400-$600/day. So, 30% would = $120-$180/day. Does that sound normal?

What are the low times and high times throughout the year? I think somebody earlier said spring can be slow.

We have Load restrictions up here in the Spring during Break up. Doubt You'll have to deal with that-But there are ways around it-In the Fall before Freeze up they Stack up the timber where you don't have to go into the Bush and get it and stay where the roads Aren't restricted. Mostly it's going full bore all year long.

The Mill near me takes about 2-3000 Cords a day

If your full bore all year long for the most part, can you take time off as needed without a lot of hassle? Holidays, vacation, etc.
