I notice a lot of the print ads and job opening don't talk about huge money any more either, except for a few and they are on the east coast.
Is it just better to remain a company driver and try and get with a good company? I drive for USXpress out of Colton, CA. 11 western/dedicated. Grossed $30k in 8 months. Not bad for first year but I need to double that next year.
You want huge money? Get out of trucking.
Hmmmm...nice responce.
Money can be made in this business. You have to have the right job. $30,000 in 8 months is a rate of 45,000 per year. Getting more mile is the right answer. Getting more pay for the miles you drive is another solution...
Looking for a higher paying job is your best solution. Word to the wise, though....just because someone tell you they pay more, doesn't mean you will make more.
I also would see if their are things you can do to increase your pay.....being a trainer....or even recruiting drivers...(that hurt). Stuff like that.
Good luck with you.
