Company policy where I was is: Mentors are not to let the student drive with the mentor in the sleeper at any time for the first 2 weeks. My mentor went into the sleeper the second day. After getting very sick the last 2 days that I was on his truck, he took me back to the terminal (after he drove 2 days straight & tried to go off of my logs), and booted me off his truck.

When I got on with my second mentor, it was a completely different story. He was by my side, very supportive, and did everything he could to make my experience much better.

Now, even though the truck did not have restraints in the top bunk, he gave me the option of sleeping in the top bunk so long as I drop to the lower in the event we get into a scale. I chose the top bunk, and slept so much better.

After going solo, I turned my first mentor in, included the correct logs, and attached the ficticious logs to my complaint. What really pissed me off is when I found out that not only did they not fire him, they turned him into an O/O and continued to allow him to train.
