I have been thinking about getting my tanker endorsement added on (no hazmat). What are the advantages of having it (aside from the obvious), and what are the draw backs to it?

I pulled a smooth bore (food grade, no baffles) last year for a while and getting used to the surge was not fun... you learn to shift more smoothly!! It's not that bad when your fully loaded but when your half full or so it's alot stronger....

Tankers is probably the easiest endorsement to get.
IMHO, a person is somewhat foolish not to get it. Better to have it and never use it then to not have it and want it later on.

Just my opinion...
Having Tanker AND Hazmat opens the doors for so many more possibilities and options for a driver. Just remember, I'm very biased about this opinion :P  !!!

Yeah you all make good points there. I may still go for it. Shoot, what do I have to lose? I have already lost my mind!
