I haven't quite seen them all so I don't know the worst one out there, but Truck City in Detroit has to be in the Top 10 list for worst crap holes. Of course, if you're in Detroit it's not like you have a lot of options...

So the WW's all gone? Heck, they just repaved the parking lot a couple years ago... I used to deliver fish across the street then grab a couple hours there before heading on to NJ. No love lost.
The Pilot in Carney's Point NJ is dang near impossible to get in or out of. All of about 4 parking spots. Thank goodness for the Flying hook across the interstate. Haven't heard anyone mention the hook in Carmel Church, VA. Talk about a gun and knife club. Real friendly employees and everything. As far as the best, Gotta go with the Iowa 80 in Walcott for a large one and the Ambest in Stony Creek, VA (MM 33 on I-95) for a smaller one. Since they redid that one about three years ago, just WOW! Nice clean showers, friendly people, Subway and Starbucks... wOOt!

Everything at the 104 in VA has gotten bad over the past 2 years. All the problems that were at the 133 have migrated south since ServiceTown was shutdown 2 years ago. Place was just asking to be shutdown but they were actually bought out by Target Corp to put in a Super Target store. Had a few deaths in the parking lot just before the shutdown to top it all off. To bad too, at the least police knew where the problems were and they stayed within the T/S confines, now they have spread out. Some went south to the 104, some still hang around the 133 in the motel parking lots now.

So you have not seen the Swift Fontana Terminal huh? Drivers get a POS drivers lounge with a table screwed to the ground (seems like) and 4 folding chairs. Not to mention the bathrooms are portables that have floods because people don't know how to unclog toilets. That is a dive to beat all dives. CRST Fontana was also my introduction to the street vendors, who would sell McDonalds items, Big Macs, etc, that had been.......let's just say 'maturing' in the bright LA sun for who knows how many hours. *Note to up and coming CRST drivers.* DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT drive into the Fontana yard without a Qualcomm verified load out of there. You won't drive out of there without approval from Cedar Rapids dispatch. This may be 5 minutes, or a few days. Fair warning. If you are early, consider forking out the bucks for the Milliken TA (did I really just say that? ) around the corner until you have solid dispatch info to get you "released" from the yard. On the bright side............a finely aged Egg McMuffin will be there for you in the morning.

You could always drive down Santa Ana Street and park in the open dirt lot across the street from Central Reefers Terminal. About 4 different companies park there and one more probably wouldnt draw attention...
