I think the original posters question was whether one can carry in a commercial vehicle, not whether one should.

And in my opinion, if you actually believe that you need insurance, then you need to find another occupation other than truck driving. The Supreme Court has ruled that Law Enforcement has no responsibility to protect an individual. If you want protection, it is up to you.

I would like anyone to cite the law that prohibits firearms in big rigs. Not some local ordinance, but a federal law. I have a $100.00 bill in my pocket with your name on it. Put up or shut up.

That is a city law. Dead people vote in Chicago. How can you take anything they do seriously?

"Tis better to ask forgiveness than permission." That's what I always say. That and, "Better to be judged by 12 than carried by six."

i ain't sure , but i am pretty sure that ammunition is covered under hazmat, and requires a placard and an endorsement, also not all states honor other states carry permits, maybe there ain't any law goverening firearms in a commercial vehicle, but most companies insurance carriers forbid it. shucks i feel terrified ever since the 2nd grade in 1958 when we were told to put our heads between our legs in case of an atom bomb dropping on our school  really we don't need to carry weapons with us. but on the other hand it sure would be nice if we were allowed to shoot people for being stupid
